SATURDAY, 25 MAY: Buuja Buuja Dance
It’s time to learn about our First Nations people’s great craft and culture through Buuja Buuja Dance. This First Nations-led dancing troupe will teach all small feet some of the world’s oldest dance steps!
Presented as part of Jalbu Muna, a night dedicated to female First Nations story telling through music, hosted by Yalanji woman and renowned musician Deline Briscoe and featuring iconic artist Christine Anu.
SATURDAY 1 JUNE: The Beanies
The Beanies are quite silly! They also know how to craft a catchy, fact-filled tune. Furthermore, they are skilled at making each child feel gloriously and unabashedly themselves. This means you’re in for a show full of excitement, laughter, and adventure at Tumbalong Park.
You might remember their absurdity from their ABC Kids show. This is your chance to witness their silliness firsthand. Mini-Beanies unite!
SATURDAY 8 JUNE: Formidable Vegetable
Vegetables have never been more appetizing. Formidable Vegetable creates family-friendly electro-funk with an environmentally conscious message. Everyone, from the age of five to ninety-five, can benefit from one of their upbeat concerts. With songs about producing your own vegetables, recovering ecosystems, and giving sustainable gifts, it’s all about having fun while learning.
SATURDAY 15 JUNE: The Quokkas
This five-piece conveys inspiring ideas about inclusion and diversity in a joyful and energetic manner. The Quokkas come from all cultural backgrounds and physical abilities, and they aim to teach everyone that anything is possible, regardless of who you are.
