Step into MO’JU’s universe for an evening of music, storytelling, and truth-telling. This Naarm/Melbourne-based multidisciplinary artist creates a powerful, distinct kind of R&B that addresses topics of race, identity, and colonisation with piercing lyrics.

MO’JU, a third gender, third culture powerhouse (Filipino / Wiradjuri), defies genre categorization and shines out not just as an artist, but also as a vital voice for change. They’re recognized for constantly experimenting with different sounds and striving to create music that is entirely unique to them.

Experience the depth and vitality of MO’JU’s talent, where music goes beyond enjoyment to serve as a platform for profound conversations and collective optimism.

Zoë Coombs Marr, a comedian who combines intersectional feminism with wisecracks, will be joining them. Zoë has received several prizes for her shows, including the Melbourne Comedy Festival Award and a coveted Herald Angel Award in Edinburgh. She brings her sharp wit and intelligent criticism to the stage, guaranteeing both laughter and introspection.

Dave Woodhead, a stand-up comedian, writer, actor, and broadcaster, will be supporting the lineup. Dave has worked on a number of television productions, including Amazon Prime’s sketch comedy series The Moth Effect, ABC TV’s Get Krackin’ & Preppers, several indigenous children’s series such as Thalu and Barrumbi Kid, ABC Comedy’s Fresh Blood pilot Be Your Own Boss, and SBS Viceland’s The Feed.

It’s time to descend the steps of Mary’s Underground and emerge transformed and full of ideas.
