Deloris, a disco diva, witnesses a murder, which changes her life in unexpected ways. She is placed in protective custody and hidden in a convent, the last place she should be! Encouraged to aid the struggling chorus, she helps her sisters realize their true voices while surprisingly rediscovering her own.
Based on the legendary film starring Whoopi Goldberg and featuring original music by Tony and 8-time Oscar winner Alan Menken (Disney’s Aladdin, Enchanted) and songs influenced by Motown, soul, and disco, this wonderful musical is both joyful and inspiring.
