Fit City Tour’s Sydney Harbour Running Tour allows you to explore Sydney Harbour at first light.

This small-group trip takes runners around the city’s most well-known landmarks, including the Sydney Opera House and the Sydney Harbour Bridge. Operating daily at 9 a.m., this 9-kilometer excursion takes you along the harbor, where you’ll see the beautiful oceans and the home of Pixar’s beloved Nemo!

We’ll begin this 2-hour running tour by lacing up our sneakers at Hyde Park, Australia’s oldest public parkland. From there, we’ll jog by numerous well-known natural sites, including Mrs Macquaries Chair, a rock cut into the shape of a bench for Major General Lachlan Macquarie’s wife, and a popular spot for both locals and tourists to take the perfect snapshot overlooking the bay. The tour will next continue to the Botanic Gardens, where you can enjoy the beautiful flora right in the center of the city.

We’ll race past the Sydney Opera House, one of the twentieth century’s most famous and revered architectural marvels, as well as several other historic landmarks like George Street’s former police station, Cadman’s Cottage. The tour gains momentum as your Sydney tour guide leads the group across the Sydney Harbour Bridge to explore some of the most interesting hidden sights scattered throughout the harbour, such as Lavender Bay, a harbourside suburb with panoramic views of Sydney Harbour, and Wendy’s Secret Garden, a local artist’s green sanctuary nestled in the bustling city. Runners will pass by Luna Park, Sydney’s oldest and most popular amusement park.

In our last stretch, we’ll pass by Kirribilli House, the house of Australia’s Prime Minister, and ask him for coffee before getting our post-run caffeine fix at the Wharf. To end the running tour, we’ll take the ferry back to Circular Quay.
