X-Change uses art and community to explore themes such as decolonization, domesticity, and survival.

The Re-Right Collective (Carmen Glynn-Braun and Dennis Golding) have created a new exhibition called X-Change. These artists illustrate how tales are explored through discourse by incorporating their expertise and experiences from public art and community events into their practice.

This show presents new works that explore themes of decolonization, domesticity, and survival via art and community. The artists bring handheld things inspired by childhood memories and personal experiences to create a sanctuary in the colonial landscape. Carmen and Dennis use these objects to share stories about communal strength, familial histories, and self-determination.

X-Change is an exhibition organized by Willoughby City Council and presented in collaboration with the Gai-mariagal Festival 2024, which celebrates the world’s oldest living civilization.
