On the last Sunday of each month, take advantage of a one-of-a-kind opportunity to visit the heritage-listed Lancer Barracks in Parramatta and see one of their legacy fleet of armoured battle vehicles. You may even start the motors and drive around the barracks.

It may be their world-famous WW2 Matilda Tank (ACE), their 50-ton Centurion Main Battle Tank, or their WW2 Bren Gun Carrier, the Regiment’s first armoured fighting vehicle.

You can travel the length and breadth of Australia and never witness a national heritage WW2 armoured fighting vehicle that saw action in a major battle, drive around in the condition its wartime crew would have known it. Then get up close and experience the world of a “Tankie” by looking inside the tank. To watch, hear and smell a large tank fire its engines and drive around, is like watching, hearing and smelling a large steam train moving – very, very different from looking at a “dead” item in a display shed.
